03-1 Assemble head-side neck joint

Required Parts:
SM02 Servo Motor (ID02) x1 F3 Neck joint (head) x1 Screw No. 9 (M2_L6 MM20060) x8 Screw No. 12 (M2_L2.5 MM20025) x1

Assemble head-side neck joint

  1. Fasten 【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 on 【SM02 Servo Motor (ID02)】 with 【Screw No. 12 (M2_2.5 MM20025)】.
  2. Insert 【SM02 Servo Motor (ID02)】into the 【F3 Neck Joint (head)】as shown.
    ⚠️ Before installation, return servo motor axle to zero position!
    👉     How to return servo motor axle to zero position?
    ⚠️ Note! Observe servo motor installation direction.
  3. Fasten servo motor and neck joint together with 8 【Screw No.9 (M2_L6 MM20060)】, 4 on each side.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure to tighten 【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 screw snugly down on flat side (no bulge) of the ring terminal so that it makes good contact with the motor terminal, or touch sensors may not work properly.

Assemble body-side neck joint -1

  1. Insert【SM02 Servo Motor (ID02)】 into【F4 Neck Joint (body)】as shown.

  2. Fasten 【H1 Servo Motor Wheel (main)】 with【Screw No.4 (M2_L6 MW20060) x1】.
    ⚠️ Note: Use tweezers to place the servo wheel and screw down inside the neck joint.

  3. Turn part over, and fasten【H2 Servo Motor Wheels (auxiliary)】 with【Screw No. 5 (M2_L6 TW20060-2)】.

  1. Tip 【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】into【F4 Neck Joint (body)】as shown.
    ⚠️ Before installation, return servo motor axle to zero position!

  2. Fasten【H1 Servo Motor Wheel (main)】with【Screw No. 4 (M2_L6 MW20060) x1】.
  3. Turn part over and fasten【H2 Servo Motor Wheel (auxiliary)】with【Screw No.5 (M2_L6 TW20060-2)】.

Assemble body-side neck joint –3

  1. Fasten【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 to 【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】 with【Screw No. 12 (M2_L2.5 MM20025)】.
    ⚠️ Note! Observe direction cable sits on terminal. Keep parallel to servo bottom edge as shown when connecting.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure to tighten 【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 screw snugly down on flat side (no bulge) of the ring terminal so that it makes good contact with the motor terminal, or touch sensors may not work properly.

  2. Connect【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】and【SM02 Servo Motor (ID02)】with【Connection Cable 10 NECK】.
    ⚠️ Note! Sockets are located on both sides of servo motor; double check to ensure cable is connected as shown.

  3. Neck assembly finished!

Install neck assembly -1

  1. Insert【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】of【Neck Part】into opening on【Body Part】as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Observe direction of neck assembly. Head mounting grid should face forward toward the wheels as shown.

    Fasten neck assembly with 8【Screw No.9 (M2_L6 MM20060)】, 4 on each side.

Install neck assembly -2

  1. Plug 【Connection Cable 05 BODY】 into 3 pin socket on 【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】.

  2. Spare cable can be tucked inside the body cavity.
    ⚠️Note! Make sure the connection cables are firmly plugged in.

03-4 Install right neck spring

Required Parts:
SP01 Neck spring (right) x1 Screw No. 1-1 (M3_L6 TW30060) x1

Install right neck spring

  1. Insert tip of【SP01 Neck Spring (right)】into the neck mounting hole as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure you have right-side spring and are installing it on right-hand side. Springs are not interchangeable.
  2. Pull spring slightly forward and place the loop of【SP01 Neck Spring (right)】over support as shown. Flex spring and place the arm ring on lock post and fasten with【Screw No.1-1(M3_L6 TW30060)】.
    ⚠️Note! Larger self-tapping screws require more force to drive. Make sure to hold screw driver straight and keep tip engaged with the screw head to avoid stripping it.

03-5 Install left neck spring

Required Parts:
SP02 Neck spring (left) x1 Screw No.1-1 (M3_L6 TW30060) x1

Install left neck spring

  1. Insert tip of【SP01 Neck Spring (left)】into neck mounting hole as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure you have left-side spring and are installing it on left-hand side. Springs are not interchangeable.
  2. Pull spring slightly forward and place loop of【SP01 Neck Spring (left)】over support as shown. Flex spring and place the arm ring on lock post and fasten with【Screw No.1-1(M3_L6 TW30060)】.
