5. Build Assembly|Left arm

05-1 Apply slick surface tape

Required Parts:
F6 Shoulder joint (left) x1 A7 Slick surface tape
Bag E of Box Z
Box of screws

👉The left shoulder joint has the letter “L” on it. Make sure to use correct part.

Apply slick surface tape

  1. Paste the 【A7 Slick Surface Tape】to the cable hole on the 【F6 Shoulder Joint (left)】.
    ⚠️ Notice! The divided part of the sticker faces up.
  2. Apply tape equidistant between two slot ends with bottom of slit sitting level with slot edge. Use tweezers to push upper part (split) of sticker into cable hole. Use tweezer,  finger or other tool to flatten tape and adhere it to inside of slot as shown. Get tape to lie as flat as possible in bottom of slot.

Required Parts:
F6 Shoulder joint (left) x1 SM08 Servo Motor (ID08) x1 H1 Servo motor wheels (main) x1 H2 Servo Motor Wheels (auxiliary) x1

Install left shoulder joint servo motor -1

  1. Tip【SM08 Servo Motor (ID08)】 into【F6 Shoulder Joint (left)】.
    ⚠️ Note! Observe orientation of【F6 Shoulder joint (left)】. Make sure to insert servo motor in correct direction with splined shaft facing H1 servo wheel.

  2. Fasten 【H1 Servo Motor Wheel (main)】 with【Screw No. 4 (M2_L6 MW20060) x1】.
    ⚠️ Before installation, return servo motor axle to zero position!
    ⚠️Note! Use tweezers to place servo wheel and screw down inside U joint. Ensure wheel tangs engage fully and wheel sits flat.

  3. Turn part over, fasten 【H2 Servo Motor Wheel (auxiliary)】 with 【Screw No. 5 (M2_L6 TW20060-2)】

Connection cable 07 ARM x1

Connection cable 08 ARM x1

Install right shoulder joint servo motor -2

  1. Plug【Connection Cable 08 ARM】 into socket at front of servo motor.
    ⚠️Note! Make sure the connection cables are firmly plugged in.

  2. Plug【Connection Cable 07 ARM】 into socket at back of servo motor.
    ⚠️ Note! Observe orientation of assembly and blue arrow indicating front and back of robot. Double check to make sure that cables are in correct sockets.

05-3 Assemble shoulder plate and route cables -1

Required Parts:
A6 Tape C10 Shoulder plates (bottom) x1
Box of screws

Assemble shoulder plate and route cables -1

  1. Thread 【Connection Cable 07 ARM, Connection Cable 08 ARM】 on【SM08 Servo Motor (ID08)】through【C10 Shoulder Plate (bottom)】, then snap plate and servo motor together.
    ⚠️ Notice! Do not pinch the cables and straighten the connection cables.
    ⚠️ Note! If painting robot, paint shoulder plate before continuing!
  2. Adhere 【Connection Cable 08 ARM】 to outside of shoulder plate and servo motor using【A6 Tape】.

  1. Thread【Connection Cable 08 ARM】 through slot with applied slick tape and into 【F6 Shoulder Joint (left)】; pull cable out from other side as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure the cable threaded through arm is【Connection Cable 08 ARM】.
    ⚠️ Note! Cable routing is critical to free arm motion; double check against diagram and video.

  2. Turn【F6 Shoulder Joint (left)】 to front horizontal position as shown.

  3. Shoulder servo motor parts finished!

Assemble left forearm -1

  1. Tip 【SM10 Servo Motor (ID10)】 into 【F8 Arm scaffold】.

  2. Fasten 【H1 Servo Motor Wheel (main)】 with【Screw No.4 (M2_L6 MW20060) x1】.
    ⚠️ Before installation, return servo motor axle to zero!
    ⚠️ Ensure splined shaft is facing H1 wheel, tangs are fully engaged and wheel is flat!

  3. Turn part over, fasten【H2 Servo Motor Wheel (auxiliary)】 with【Screw No. 5 (M2_L6 TW20060-2)】.

05-4 Assemble left forearm -2

Required Parts:
C22 Hand lights x1 Screw No. 8 (M1.6_L3 MM16030) x1
Bottom parts tray (Install either one)
Box of screws

Install hand light

  1. Snap 【C22 Hand Lights】onto【SM10 Servo Motor (10)】as shown.
  2. Fasten with【Screw No.8 (M1.6_L3 MM16030)】.

Connect shoulder cable to servo

  1. Plug【Connection Cable 08 ARM】 of【Shoulder part】 into the outer socket of【SM09 Servo Motor (ID09)】.
    ⚠️Note! Make sure connection cables are firmly plugged in.
    ⚠️Note! Cable sockets are easily confused. Observe orientation of parts and ensure cables are in correct sockets.

  2. Insert connection cable into cable management slots as shown.

Attach servo motor to scaffold

  1. Slide 【Left Forearm part】 into 【SM09 Servo Motor (ID09)】.
    ⚠️ Note! If inserted correctly, the parts should connect together easily with a click.
    ⚠️ Note! Observe the orientation of the parts to ensure correct positioning.

    ⚠️Note! Observe the orientation of the parts to ensure correct positioning.

  2. Fasten【H1 Servo Motor Wheel (main)】with【Screw No. 4 (M2_L6 MW20060) x1】.

  3. Turn part over, fasten 【H2 Servo Motor Wheel (auxiliary)】 with 【Screw No. 5 (M2_L6 TW20060-2)】.

Connect and route servo motor cable

  1. Plug【 Connection Cable 09 ARM】 into socket of【SM09 Servo Motor (ID09)】 and into socket of【SM10 Servo Motor (ID10)】.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure the connection cable is firmly plugged in.
    ⚠️ Note! Cable and socket locations are easily confused. Observe part orientation carefully and double check to make sure connected correctly.

  2. Insert the connection cable into the cable management slots of the scaffold and servo motor as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Leave enough slack cable so that the joint can move through its entire range.

  3. Left arm part FINISHED!
