7. Install Components | Speaker, battery, sensor module

07-1 Install speaker -1

Required Parts:
M2 Speaker x1 Screw No. 1-2 (M2_L6 TW20060) x3
Bag J of Box Z
Box of screws

Install speaker

  1. Place robot face down as shown.
  2. Slide【M2 Speaker】 enclosure holes over matching body posts.
    ⚠️ Note! Avoid touching the flexible cone on the bottom of the speaker enclosure. Be especially careful not to poke it when driving screws.
  3. Fasten speaker with 3 pieces 【Screw No. 1-2 (M2_L6 TW20060)】.

Install audio cable

  1. Return robot to standing position and connect【Connection Cable 12 BODY】 to cable on【M2 Speaker】.
    ⚠️Note! Make sure connection cable is firmly plugged in.

07-2 Install battery

Required Parts:
M1 Battery x1
Bottom parts tray

Connection cable 13 BODY x1

Install battery 

  1. Remove adhesive backing film from bottom of【M1 Battery】.

  2. Slide【M1 Battery】into opening in body as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Turn label to face outside as shown.

  3. Connect【Connection Cable 13 BODY】 to socket on top of【M1 Battery】.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure connection cable is firmly plugged in.

Battery installation finished!

07-3 Install Type-C charging cable

Required Parts:
Screw No. 7 (M2_L6 TT20060) x2
Box of screws

Type-C charging/connection cable 14 BODY x1

Install Type-C charging cable

  1. Slide holes of Type-C socket end of【Type-C charging/connection cable 14 BODY】over posts on body and secure with 2 pieces【Screw No. 7 (M2_L6 TT20060】.
    ⚠️ Note! Self-tapping require more force to drive. Be careful to keep screw driver straight and tip engaged to avoid stripping screw heads.

Type-C charging cable installation finished!

07-4 Install chest sensor module -1

Required Parts:
C21 Chest light x1 M3 PIR sensor module x1
Bottom parts tray
Bag I of Box Z

LED/ connection cable 15 BODY x1

Connection cable 16 BODY x1

Assemble chest sensor

1. Plug【Connection Cable 16 BODY】 into socket on rear bottom left of【M3 PIR sensor module】.
⚠️Notice! Make sure the connection cable is firmly plugged in.

2. Line up holes of【LED connection cable 15 BODY】 with posts on【C21 Chest Light】and clip the tangs over the edge of the LED board.
⚠️ Note! A little bit of force is required to pop clips over edges. Apply force evenly and gradually. If the board does not clip in with minimal force, check orientation and post alignment to avoid cracking or breaking board. 

3. Plug【LED connection cable 15 BODY】 into socket at rear bottom right of【C21 PIR sensor module】.
⚠️ Note! Plug and socket are a bit more fragile than most. Carefully insert plug into socket to avoid damage.

07-4 Install chest sensor module -2

Required Parts:
Screw No. 3 (M2_L4 TT20040) x1
Box of screws

Install chest sensor module

  1. Fasten end of【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 from 【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】 to the terminal on rear of 【C21 Chest Light】 with【Screw No. 3 (M2_L4 TT20040)】as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Do not confuse the two【Connection Cable 11 NECK】. Double check to make sure you have the correct one as shown.
    ⚠️ Note! Make sure to tighten【Connection Cable 11 NECK】screw snugly down on flat side (no bulge) of the ring terminal so that it makes good contact with C21 terminal, or touch sensors may not work properly.

  2. Thread【Connection Cable 16 BODY】 under bottom of neck【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】 to back of robot as shown.

Install chest sensor module 

  1. Slide clips of【C21 Chest Light】 onto matching body slots as shown.
  2. Insert【Connection Cable 11 NECK】 from neck 【SM01 Servo Motor (ID01)】 into cable management slot by right shoulder, and fold excess cable into chest cavity behind sensor.

07-4 Install chest sensor module -4

Required Parts:
A6 Tape
Box of screws

Route and secure connection cables

  1. From back, insert【Connection Cable 03 BODY】,【Connection Cable 10 NECK】, 【Connection Cable 12 BODY】, 【Connection Cable 16 BODY】into cable management slot on back of neck.
    ⚠️ Note! Cables【Connection Cable 13 BODY】and【Connection Cable 14 Body】 do not go into cable management slot.

  2. Use 【A6 Tape】 to cover cable management slot as shown.

Chest sensor module installation finished!

Installation of speaker, battery, sensor module FINISHED!
