NUWA Contacts

“NUWA Contact” is a communication app designed around the robot experience. By obtaining a NUWA Contact Number through the service, users can add contacts between robots or between robots and other devices (such as smartphones or tablets) to make voice or video calls.

With the “NUWA Contact” mobile app, users can remotely control the robot’s position and expressions during video calls, creating a more engaging and interactive chat experience.

Download NUWA Contact

  • Robot: From the main menu, find the “NUWA Contact” icon and open the app, or search for “NUWA Contact” in the NUWA Store and download it.
  • Mobile Device: Search for NUWA Contact on “Google Play” or “App Store” and download the app.

Logging into NUWA Contact

  • Robot: The system will automatically log in using the account linked to this robot.
    ⚠ The login account + robot serial number will generate a unique Nuwa Contact Number. If you switch the login account, the Nuwa Contact Number for this robot will also change.
  • Mobile Device: Log in using your Nuwa account, Google account, or Xiaomi account to obtain
    your unique Nuwa Contact Number.

Becoming Contacts

Users must complete mutual authentication to become contacts and enable communication.

⚠ Robots can add other robots or mobile device users as contacts, while mobile device users can only add robots as contacts.

Adding a Contact

  1. Tap “Add Contact”.
  2. Scan the other party’s QR code or search for their NUWA Contact Number.

Accepting a Contact Invitation

  1. If someone invites you to become a contact, you will receive a system notification.
  2. Go to “Notifications” or “Pending Invitations.” Tap “ Check ” to confirm.

Managing Contacts

In your contact list, you can view all your contacts, including their profile picture, name, tags, and status. Tap the voice/video call button to communicate with a contact.

Editing Contact Information - Robot

  1. Tap the Contact Card to view the contact’s details.
  2. Tap the edit icon next to the name to modify the contact’s name.
  3. Tap the edit icon at the bottom-right of the “Contact Tags” section to add or modify multiple tags for easy identification.

Editing Contact Information - Mobile Device

  1. Tap the Contact Card to view the contact’s details.
  2. Tap “Edit” in the top-right corner to update the contact’s name or tags.
  3. Tap “Done” to save the changes.

Deleting a Contact

  1. Tap “Delete My Contact” to delete the relationship with the contact.
  2. The contact will not be notified of the deletion, but communication between both parties will no longer be possible.
  3. If you send another invitation in the future, the contact relationship will be instantly restored.

Communication Interface

You can make voice calls to NUWA Contacts by saying commands like, “Please call OOO.” or “I want to call OOO.”

“NUWA Contact” supports two communication modes: voice calls and video calls. You can toggle the microphone and camera on or off before answering or during the call.

Remote Control Features

During a video call with the robot, mobile device users can:

  • Use the joystick to control the robot’s head movements and wheels.
  • Tap animated stickers to make the robot perform specific expressions and actions.

⚠️ The service robot Collibot currently does not support the remote control feature.

Call Records

Open the toolbar in the bottom-left corner and tap Records.

The Records page logs all incoming, outgoing, and missed calls. To delete records, tap the trash icon in the top-right corner.

To view contact/Roflow project details, tap a specific record card.

* In the NUWA BizTools – Roflow, the “Contact Module” allows integration with NUWA Contacts, enabling the robot to call specific users. If the caller is a Roflow project, detailed project information can be viewed in the Records.

Monitoring Feature

Enable the monitoring feature to turn your robot into a home security camera. Ensure monitoring permissions are authorized on the robot side to allow control from a mobile device.

Monitoring Feature - Robot

  1. Select the contact you want to authorize.
  2. Enable monitoring permissions to allow the contact to access the robot’s video feed from their mobile device.

Monitoring Feature - Mobile Device

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select the robot with authorized monitoring permissions to access the Monitoring Feature.

Settings

  1. Open the toolbar in the bottom-left corner and tap Settings.
  2. On the settings page, you can view and edit your personal profile, including your avatar and
    status.

On the robot side, switch to Call Settings to configure:

  • Auto pick-up (seconds)
  • Enable/disable remote control permissions.
